Meditation has … Meditation has released a lot of suppressed emotion in me. Perhaps while you were meditating an old sadness came to you, one that you had never allowed emotion towards?
Do not worry about whether your reaction was ‘normal’ or not, if the experience was positive for yourself then persist–I suspect that meditation can bring you to a more peaceful state in your day to day life.
Some tips for all … Some tips for all of you:
Lie flat on your back
Keep your eyes closed comfortably, you may want to shade your eyes with a t-shirt
Do not resist, let the sounds soothe you and relax you
No one is going to touch you/bother you — do not break meditation to ‘scout’ the room etc.
Give meditation a try at least 5 times, it is somewhat of a skill and through persistence you will also see how it can best benefit YOU
I personally meditate to improve to feel positive and refreshed. Good luck all.
Not many people do … Not many people do this, But i try to meditate daily. It helps to keep everything in order. Since I started this I found that I get along better with people (My sister and I would fight everyday but we don’t now.)

If you feel like … If you feel like you have too much going on with your life, just go to a quiet room(I use my bedroom) and throw something like this on. I find it works wonders to help think clearer and all that jazz.
